Due to COVID restrictions and waiver guidelines, school water fountains are non-operational. With temperatures soaring, students are in need of frequent hydration. Please send your students with refillable flasks or multiple bottled waters. Middle and high school students can purchase bottled water at the Snack Shack. Please, ensure your student has cash to purchase extra water if needed. We are unable to provide water through the school office.

PARENT FACULTY MEETING
This will be our last Parent Faculty Meeting for the 2020-2021 academic year. Pastor Don will love to have a room full of parents on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m.

DRESS CODE
With the rise in temperature, we begin to gravitate to outfits that aid us in staying cool. For all of our DC family, students and staff, please remember these Dress Code guidelines:

  • Skirts and shorts are not to be shorter than three inches above the knee.
  • Sleeves are required on tops, blouses, and dresses. No tank tops or spaghetti straps.
  • No midriff revealing tops, please. Modest necklines, please.
  • No rips or tears in clothing.

DC MERCHANDISE
DC face masks are for sale in the school office. Choose from three different styles. The masks are comfortable, breathable, and have adjustable straps. $10 per mask. Additional DC t-shirts, polos, and hoodies are available for purchase in the MS/HS office.

GIFT CARDS
Desert Chapel school families can purchase gift cards through our SCRIP program. A portion of the sales is donated back to Desert Chapel Christian School. Gift cards are available for restaurants, stores, gas stations, grocery stores, and online shopping. Contact Mrs. Behrend in the school office, or Mrs. Ulaan in the church office to place your order, or place your order online. See attached brochure for more information.

SPRING MUSICAL
With plenty of practice, our students are nearly ready to perform the Spring Musical. Due to the restrictions of our waiver, we are not able to present the musical to our parents in an evening showing. The musical will be presented at an All-School Chapel on Friday, May 21st for the benefit of our middle and high school students, staff, and faculty.

SNACKS
Our students are growing and active. Their appetites seem to be increasing as the school year progresses. For the regular school day, please send a morning snack, as well as lunch for your student. --- For students staying in ASC, although we provide snacks for the students, they are still hungry. Please pack an after-school snack to supplement what we already provide. --- Until we can reopen our water fountains, please do provide students with a refillable flask and/or multiple bottles of water to last them through the day. Soda, caffeinated beverages, and candy are prohibited.
