ELEMENTARY SPRING MUSICAL ATTIRE
The elementary Spring Musical will be presented at an All-School Chapel on Friday, May 21st for the benefit of our middle and high school students, staff, and faculty. Elementary students should wear a DC polo shirt and BLACK PANTS on Friday. Students will change into their Spring Musical T-shirt prior to the Chapel.

ELEMENTARY LUNCH
There has been some confusion with regard to lunchtime. It has never been a policy that we will heat lunches for students. We do not have a convenient set-up with microwaves near to the lunch area. In order to heat a student's lunch, an aide must leave the playground to go to the kitchen, which leaves us with less supervision. In addition, it takes a lengthy period of time to heat all the student lunches, and students wait for 20 to 25 minutes before beginning to eat their lunch, and run out of time to eat. When administration was informed that the aides were heating lunches, we directed the aides to stop doing so. The safety of our students is paramount, and recess and lunch times are busy, active times, when the potential for conflict and accidents is at its highest. We need "all hands on deck," during these times. Please ensure that your student brings a lunch that does not require heating.

SNACKS
Our students are growing and active. Their appetites seem to be increasing as the school year progresses. For the regular school day, please send a morning snack, as well as lunch for your student. --- For students staying in ASC, although we provide snacks for the students, they are still hungry. Please pack an after-school snack to supplement what we already provide. --- Until we can reopen our water fountains, please do provide students with a refillable flask and/or multiple bottles of water to last them through the day. Soda, caffeinated beverages, and candy are prohibited.
