Please join us on Sunday, October 13 at 5:00 p.m. for the annual Desert Chapel Christian Schoolm Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children (under 12 years of age). Tickets may be purchased from Desert Chapel Christian School students. This is a fun evening of food, fellowship, and raffles.
Friday, October 18th marks the end of the First Quarter! It will be a Minimum Day (MS/HS - Periods 1, 2, 3, & 4). Please ensure that you are studying diligently, turning in your assignments, and making smart choices in the classroom.
Final grades will be entered by faculty on Friday afternoon. Report cards will be mailed and emailed on Tuesday, October 22!
Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, October 22 - Thursday, October 24th. These will be Minimum Days, with 11:30 a.m. dismissal.
● Elementary Parents: Your student’s teacher has scheduled a time for you to meet for a parent-teacher conference. Please contact your teacher or the school office if you need to reschedule due to unforeseen events, or are running late.
● Middle/High School Parents: Your student’s teachers will be available each day between the hours of 12:00 - 2:30 p.m. You may drop in to visit with the teacher in their classroom.

All middle and high school students are invited to participate in Homecoming Spirit Week. The theme for Homecoming this year is a movie theme, and our Spirit Week dress days reflect that theme.
MONDAY: Sleeping Beauty Pajama Day

○ Wear your pajamas & bring your favorite stuffed animal

TUESDAY: Dynamic Movie Duo or Group Day

○ Dress as your favorite movie duo or group of characters

WEDNESDAY: Monster University College Day

○ Dress in college attire (logo shirts, hoodies, hats)

THURSDAY: Decade Day

○ 6/7th Grades - 1960’s
○ 8th/9th Grades - 1970’s
○ 10/11th Grades - 1980’s
○ 12th Grade - 1990’s

FRIDAY: Class Color Day
○ 6th - Red
○ 7th - Orange
○ 8th - Yellow
○ 9th - Green
○ 10th - Blue
○ 11th - Purple
○ 12th - Rainbow (Any choice of color or as many colors as possible)

On Wednesday, October 16th, tenth and eleventh grade students will be writing the PSAT/NMSQT Test. Student Guide and Practice Booklets were passed out to students several weeks ago. It is recommended that students practice and study in preparation for the testing. PSAT scores are communicated to colleges and universities, creating scholarship and admittance opportunities.
The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. If you need a replacement Student Guide and Practice Booklet, Mrs. Ingram has extras in the office.
This year’s Homecoming Trip will be to Disneyland on Saturday, October 19th. The itinerary is:
● 7:45 a.m. - Meet in at the high school parking lot
● 10:00 a.m. - Arrival at Disneyland
● 10:00 p.m. - Departure from Disneyland back to Desert Chapel
● 12:00 a.m. - Pick up from Desert Chapel High School parking lot
All Desert Chapel students who attend are expected to abide by Desert Chapel Christian School expectations and guidelines, as listed in the Student Handbook. No use of alcohol, tobacco, Vape pens, drugs, or cursing will be tolerated. No public displays of affection between male and female students are permitted. Please be polite and appropriate in your conversations and actions.
ASB offers a delicious meal each Tuesday for $5. This week’s delicious lunch is:

Pizza is available for lunch on Thursday.
