Parents, please do remember to call the school office if your student is going to be absent. When we do not receive a phone call, your child’s absence is unexcused. An unexcused absence results in a lost opportunity to make up missed work or tests.

Volunteers are needed for this year’s Harvest Festival on Thursday, October 31st. Please sign up in the MS/HS office. Your volunteer hours will count towards the ten hours of volunteer service required of all middle and high school students.

The safety and security of our students is paramount. The Desert Chapel Middle and High School protocol is that students are to be picked up at the end of the academic day (2:35 p.m.). The only students to be present on the campus after school dismissal are After School Care students, or students participating in school athletics. Student athletes are to stay with their coaches at all times, and parents must pick up their student athlete at the end of practice. Increasingly, we have students present after 3:00 p.m. who are not attending After School Care and not involved in athletics, who are staying on campus, as well as leaving and then returning to the campus. These students are not supervised and, thus, their safety is not ensured. Please arrange to have your student picked up after school. Any students who are not picked up by 3:00 p.m. will enter After School Care. There is a charge associated with the After-School Care program, and your account will be charged. If your student is involved in athletics, please pick up your student promptly at the end of practice, in respect of the coach’s time and responsibilities. All student athletes who are not picked up promptly will be placed in After School Care. It is our priority to ensure that your student is safe and protected. We are so pleased to partner with you in the pursuit of educating and impacting the life of your student, and count it a privilege to be a part of your family.
