ALL SCHOOL NEWS..
Desert Chapel Book Fair
The Desert Chapel Book Fair is open for business on Tuesday, September 24th. The Book Fair will be set up in the small gym on the elementary side of the school from September 24th - 27th. Each elementary class will have a designated time during a school day to visit the Book Fair to make purchases. The Book Fair will also be open every day after school from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Middle and
high school students are welcome to visit the Book Fair during the after school hours.

Grandparents Chapel
Please join us on Friday, September 27 for an All School Grandparents Chapel, during which we will celebrate our grandparents. We will all meet in the sanctuary for this celebration. Elementary students will be paired with a middle or high school student, as we join together as a school family. After Chapel, grandparents can visit in the small gym, take pictures with their grandchild(ren), participate in
a Raffle, and shop at the Book Fair.

Save the Date ... DC Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Please join us on Sunday, October 13 for the annual Desert Chapel Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children (under 12 years of age). Tickets may be purchased from Desert Chapel students. Each student is committed to sell 10 tickets. This is a fun evening of food, fellowship, and raffles. Save the Date! The dinner runs from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. There are many
ways to contribute to this event. Please see attached details.

Desert Chapel Parenting Class
Desert Chapel Church is offering a parenting class, which is open to all parents. The series entitled, “Parenting: The Early Years,” features teaching by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. Please plan to join us each Wednesday in the church sanctuary at 6:30 p.m.

ELEMENTARY NEWS..
Special Dress Day
On Wednesday, September 25, the elementary students will participate in a Special Dress Literary Day that allows the students to dress as their favorite characters from a novel or book. Please ensure that the character that is chosen is not scary or dark, and that all dress code rules are followed. Please also ensure that tennis shoes are worn.

ASB Weekly Lunch
ASB offers a delicious meal each Tuesday for $5. This week’s delicious lunch is:

Fall Sports Picture Day
Thursday, September 26 is Fall Sports Picture Day. All student athletes participating in Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Football, MS Volleyball, and MS Flag Football will have their pictures taken individually and as a team. Please bring and change into your jerseys and team apparel for the pictures. Picture-taking starts at 2:45 p.m. Be on time and prepared, please.

 SPAGHETTI DINNER

FUNDRAISER 

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2019

To help kick off our spaghetti dinner fundraiser, we are asking for your help with a few things:

  1. Sponsors/Business Ads – Dinner place mats will be given to each person who attends. We are selling business ads to put on the perimeter of the place mats. 300 place mats will be handed out. Business card size (3.5”x 2”) ads are $100. Half business card size (1.75”x 2”) ads are $50. A few suggestions – restaurants (% or $ off bill), oil change coupons, car wash coupons, realtor ads, window tint discounts, family fun entertainment discounts, service industry ads, etc.
  2. Class Baskets - We are asking each class to donate items for their class gift basket to be auctioned off as part of the silent auction, during dinner. The class basket that sells for the most will win a class party (ice cream or lunch). Only 1 class can WIN, so be creative and fill your basket. Elementary please turn your items in to your teacher, MS/HS please turn your items in to the office and we will assemble and wrap them.

  1. Silent Auction Donations – In addition, we would like to auction other big ticket items. Can you help the school by finding business’s who would like to donate items such as getaways, hotel stays, rounds of golf, big screen television, autographed memorabilia, experiences, memberships, photo sessions, hair certificates, etc.
