Our annual Walk-a-thon Color Edition will be Friday, March 13th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am
We are asking each student to have the goal of raising $100. or more
Enclosed is an envelope for keeping track of the donations you receive. Also enclosed is a book of “receipts”. A completed receipt should be given to each person who donates.
We also have the opportunity for donors to go online to your donation page to donate by credit card. An email will be sent to parents with a link for student’s personal donation page. This link can also be shared via social media and email https://app.99pledges.com/fund/rockthewal3.
Also enclosed is a form for business sponsorship. Each $500 sponsor = 10 volunteer hours.
o Raise $100 - $249 – Earn a $10 gift card or a Rubik’s cube
o Raise $250 - $499 – Earn a $25 gift card or 2 hours of jump time at Get Air
o Raise $500 - $649 – Earn a $50 gift card or a Boomer’s unlimited pass
o Raise $650 - $799 – Earn a $75 gift card or a 24” Vizio Smart LED HDTV
o Raise $800 - $999 – Earn a $100 gift card or a Portable Bluetooth Speaker
o Raise $1000 - $1499 – Earn $125 gift card or Apple AirPods
o Raise $1500 + - Earn $150 gift card or a Nintendo Switch
In addition, the class who raises over $1000 will get a pizza and ice cream party.
We will come to school at our normal time. At 8:30 am we will all meet in the HS gym for an explanation of the day’s event, and a group picture. The “Walk” will take place from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, followed by an “all school” BBQ lunch. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
This Color Edition walk will involve a non-toxic colored powder being squirted on the students’ T-shirt as they cross the finish line. Each student will receive a Rock the Walk Color Edition shirt to wear while participating, and they should wear shorts and tennis shoes.
Elementary students will walk the football field; middle and high school students will walk Sunrise/Ramon/Farrell/Mesquite.
Deadline – All donations are due by Friday, March 6th
Students who turn in their envelopes by the deadline date will be entered into a drawing to win a FOLDING ELECTRIC SCOOTER. If all donations are online, please specify on envelope to be entered in drawing.
Desert Chapel Christian School is looking for sponsors for our annual Rock the Walk – Color Edition. Hundreds of families will be on site, and all are loyal supporters of businesses that support the school. Help us grow the school and raise a generation for Christ.
