Rock the Walk Minimum Day
We will have a minimum day today due to Rock the Walk. All students need to arrive at school at their regularly scheduled time. Students in grades 6-12 will attend their 1st period class to receive their shirts and information for the day before heading out with the whole school. Seniors without a 1st period must come to the office by 8:05 a.m. Parents & families that would like to participate should expect to start walking around 8:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed; please contact the main office for more information.
End of the Quarter
Friday, March 9th is the end of the 3rd quarter. All students K-12 will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Report cards will be emailed and mailed home. Students should work hard finishing all of their assignments, studying for tests, and turning in projects.
ASB will be selling ground beef street tacos and a drink (soda, water, or Gatorade) for $3.50 next Wednesday. Individual tacos will be $1.50.
Mario’s Pizza Day
Thursday is our Mario’s Pizza Day with a personal pizza and a drink for $4 ($4.50 w/ Gatorade).
Regional math olympics for grades 3-8 will be held next Friday, March 9th. The school will have a minimum day with dismissal at 11:30 a.m. and the math olympics will take place afterward at 12:30 p.m. Results will be announced the same day around 2 p.m. (or when scoring is completed).
Agape Salon in Rancho Mirage is offering free haircuts to all middle and high school students at Desert Chapel. Make sure to mention that your student goes to DC when you call to make an appointment 760-321-1023 and Rebecca or Arlen look forward to helping you. Don’t forget to bring money for a tip and your student ID. The salon is located at 69930 Hwy 111, Rancho Mirage, CA.
